Day 1: @ Malate

Posted: July 7, 2010 in Mission

Aloha,

Our plane ride was about eleven hours. The plane had to make a stop over at Guam to refuel. What a bumpy ride that was! We have arrived at Malate Manila and we are looking forward to working with the people. Some things we’ve seen in one night: Walking around Malate, there were children sleeping in the streets and old lady begging in front of a store. The scenes match something like “Slumdog Millionaire.” We’ve also met with the Victory Malate staff, and we’re excited and looking forward to working with them. Amongst the team members there are different views, some back at homeland, others a different and new experience. Currently, we’re getting prepared and situated for God’s work.

God Bless,
Team Manila
